It was certainly a tough competition this year but Europe managed to win the Ryder Cup without even looking into golf trolley batteries or battery to fit Powakaddy but how did they manage to pull one off?

Captain Helped

Good old reliable Monty was the captain of the European team this time round and I do not think they could have chosen better!. He knew the team from every single player and knew how to play their strengths and weaknesses off the Americans and boy did he do well. the last day was close and there is no one out there that will debate that one but without the victories in the second and third day we would not have had a chance.

The Weather

Although a lot of people out there do not think that the weather played a bit of a part in this at all I think they are very wrong indeed. The weather suited the Europeans (especially ones living in the UK) as it was miserable and you will find that a lot of the Americans just are not used to this kind of thing, we certainly had the home advantage in terms of the weather.

The Course

The Europeans had the advantage as we were on home soil but when thinking about it carefully, does this actually matter. When it comes to winning we have done so many times in the US and the same can be said for the Americans here.

In the end it had nothing to do with the above three reasons or those lithium golf batteries as it was a lot more to do with luck than anything else. Of course there were a lot of skills involved and this is fine but there was also a hell of a lot of luck involved with it all too!

In the end what happened of course cannot be changed and the losers will have to think of the mistakes they made whilst the winners have to think about what they can do to keep the title for when they head to the USA in two years time!
